The Level system in Project Visitor is essentially designed to protect and train new colonists to Visitor. To have all privileges available, settlers must progress through 10 levels. Levels affect not only your avatar, but also the extent that other settlers may interact with you.
Please note that at Level 1, no Settler, friend or foe, will be able to enter your camp. Level 1 Settlers are also restricted from exchanging money with other Settlers.
Levels affect game play in the following ways:
- Levels control the ability to bring more rovers on a teleport, determined by a bulk limit. As you reach level 2, you can bring more rovers, but others can only bring themselves (i.e. no rovers can attack you). As you move up levels, you can bring more rovers and enemies can bring more bulk to your camp. After you reach level 10, these special restrictions are lifted.
- The ability to choose when you want to advance. V$ effectively become experience points, and will be used to purchase levels at a time when you feel you are ready to expand your presence on Visitor.
- Levels also bring with them higher TU exchange rates.
- Levels affect the number of camps you may own.
- You will have to choose which camps the MDN Alert System will monitor. If a camp is not monitored by an MDN alert and it is destroyed, the camp signature will not display who conquered it. Camps with enabled alerts WILL leave "Destroyed by" signatures. Your Home Base is always under the MDN Alert System.
In order to advance a level, you will have to access Player Advancement. To bring up the dialogue, click on ADV located below your avatar portrait. You will see your current level, the next level available, and the cost to move up. If you have the money, click the ADVANCE button and you're on your way. If you have already advanced beyond level one, and all your camps have been conquered, click OPEN CAMP to regain the abilities of your level when you are ready to drop your corporate defenses.

Levels limit the number of camps you may have under MDN Alert System. To gain an overview of your current camp and Avatar stats click INFO.
